2025 SCHEDULE

Saturday May 3rd marks the 7th Annual F-Type Forever Car Club’s Tail of the Dragon weekend. This is a multi-day event with Tail of the Dragon being on Saturday for the day-trippers or those on a limited schedule. Full maps and itinerary will be provided via email to all registered participants. If you are traveling from outside of the area, we recommend staying at Tapoco Lodge Friday night - Sunday. They are holding a small block of rooms for our group. Alternate accommodations are available in Robbinsville NC. While local cabin rentals are plentiful be aware that not all provide a paved drive or covered parking. For those participating in the Friday morning ride, we will be based out of Knoxville area Thursday night before heading out on our Friday morning drive. Our Friday drive will take us to Tapoco Lodge in the afternoon. While there is no registration fee for this event, registration is required as it allows us to effectively plan and adequately prepare each location for the anticipated number of visitors. One registration per car. Please do not register your passenger separately. There is a space on the registration form for passenger name. If you are bringing more than one VEHICLE, please register for each car so that we may provide an accurate count to our locations to verify parking availability. If you have a passenger, please provide their name on your registration form as that will help us give an accurate count for lunch. We will use the email address provided at registration for all event communications. Be sure to check your junk folder. All meals and expenses are on your own dime. Drives take place on public roads so drive sensibly and at your own risk. By participating in this event you assume full responsibility for any damage to property or injury.
Day 1 | Friday 2 May
For those who have more time in your schedule, join us in Knoxville first! We will depart Friday morning from Knoxville where we will explore some less-traveled twists and turns on our way to Tapoco Lodge in Robbinsville. Destinations include Devil's Triangle and Cherohala Skyway on our way to Tapoco Lodge for the night. Tapoco Lodge is minutes from TOD and our schedule should afford everyone the opportunity to get a few runs in prior to Saturday's event.
Day 2 | Saturday 3 May
Saturday is the Tail of the Dragon loop. We will have several opportunities to experience the TOD and our route will include a lunch stop. Our loop will bring us back to Tapoco Lodge in the late afternoon in time to relax before our group dinner.
Day 3 | Sunday 4May
Sunday morning begins with a quick run to the Fontana Dam for photos, followed by a run down a local gem of a road, ending with lunch before everyone disperses.
